Yoga is beneficial to life. So far there are not any known case which has harmed life, only you have to be careful on the following aspects before practicing Yoga Postures, or Breathing techniques either at home or in the class.
Your First Class:
- Come at least 15 minutes early for your first class.
- Wear comfortable clothes. A warm outer layer over a lighter inner layer is helpful. Some students bring a light blanket with them, as the body’s temperature drops during meditation.
- Bring a yoga mat & towel, or borrow one of our yoga mats.
Before you begin, please inform the teacher of any health conditions, and your current fitness level.
During Class
- Please do not wear any strong fragrances.
- Avoid smoking before coming to class.
- Allow approximately 3 hours digestion after a large meal.
- Allow approx 2 hours digestion after a light meal or snack.
- Listen to your body-- don't force yourself into any of the postures.
- Be consistent-- practice at least three times a week to see your progress.
- Don't judge yourself, or others. Suspend “the critic!”
- Have patience.
- Have fun!
