The CYS/HUA academic year is divided into four semesters; courses are 11 weeks long. (This schedule applies to courses towards Master’s degrees.)

We have open enrollment, meaning we accept applications for enrollment and course registration at any time, however, students should allow adequate time for submissions to be reviewed before the start date of the next semester.  
For example, a student applying for the first time to CYS should allow 3-4 weeks to complete the entire admissions process.  A returning student should register for courses at least two weeks prior to the start of the next semester. Students are not allowed to enter (or transfer) courses past the first week of classes, as they will have already missed a substantial amount of discussion, reading, assignments, and other interaction.
